Multimedia Group Limited’s Asempa FM has successfully launched an anti-galamsey campaign to help in the fight against the menace.

The campaign dubbed #End Galamsey Now, will serve as a platform to expose the level of destruction galamsey has caused to water bodies and forest reserves in Ghana.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen talk show about the campaign, Programmes Director of the station, Mr Sammy Yirenkyi said diverse platforms would be made available to create more awareness about the fight.

He explained the campaign would focus on interaction with people in affected galamsey areas, including tours of these sites to expose the level of havoc to reiterate the need for all to support the campaign.  

He also added a new segment dubbed the Anti-galamsey Minute would be introduced on Ekosii Sen where daily tips would be given to promote the fight.
