A security man at a fuel station at Kojokrom in the Sekodi-Takoradi metropolis has been killed by some unknown assailants in an alleged robbery operation that has left residents of the community in fear.

The attackers fled with an undisclosed amount of money from the Frimps Fuel Station after the operation which happened at around 3:00 am Sunday, the Police at Kojokrom have confirmed to the media.

The robbers, who the Police say are about three in number, wielded cutlasses and cudgels.

They first attacked one of the attendants and collected his sales [an undisclosed amount] before turning to the 64-year-old security man whose name has been given as Joseph Donkoh.

“They beat him mercilessly with cudgels till he died”, a traumatized attendant recounted.

The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Effia Nkwanta Hospital Morgue while the police continue with their investigation.

No arrest has been made so far.
