Prophet Kumchacha has accused some state leaders in the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) of rendering themselves inaccessible to the very grassroot that elected them into power.

He claimed that he has received several complaints that some ministers, MPs and heads of state institutions are ignoring calls and distancing themselves from people who supported the party before it returned to power.

A frustrated Kumchacha indicated that not every person who calls them is seeking financial assistance.

He warned that the attitude could deepen dissatisfaction among party supporters who expected those in government to remain responsive to their needs.

“Not everyone who calls you is asking for money, but the complaints I am receiving about the NDC are very troubling,” he said.

He also alleged that some officials had blocked the contacts of people trying to reach them, a situation he said is disappointing given the expectations that accompanied the party’s return to power.

Despite his criticism, the preacher commended some appointees for their willingness to listen to people who approach them for assistance.

Kumchacha further cautioned NDC leaders against taking their time in office for granted, noting that the current administration’s remaining tenure would eventually come to an end.

He said his concerns about the conduct of some appointees did not diminish his respect for President Mahama and the First Lady, Lordina Mahama.

Describing the President as a good person, Kumchacha nevertheless disclosed that he had not personally benefited from the NDC administration despite campaigning heavily for the party.
