The funeral rites for the late Vice President, Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur has commenced today at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

Family members, friends and members of the general public have lined up to pay their last respects to the former Veep and governor of the Bank of Ghana.

As expected, members of the National Democratic Party (NDC) were heavily present to bid farewell to the “humble” man who co-led the umbrella party with John Mahama.

Members of other political parties were also present to pay their last respects to a man they say they have high respect for.

The former Vice President collapsed at the Airforce Gym on June 29, 2018, during a workout session and was subsequently rushed to the 37 Military Hospital where he passed away.

His burial service will be held on Friday, July 27 after which he will be laid to rest at the military cemetery in Accra.
