The spokesperson to the Minister for Roads and Highways, Kojo Danquah, has dismissed reports that Minister Kwame Governs Agbodza accused the church linked to Adom Kyei of blocking a road or preventing contractors from accessing a construction site.

Mr Danquah was reacting to a publication titled “Adom Kyei and his church block the road and deny us access to construct the road – Road Minister Agbodza reacts,” which he has described as factually incorrect and a misrepresentation of the Minister’s statements.

According to the spokesperson, it was the contractor, not the Minister, who made the claim that the church was blocking the road.

He explained that video footage of the Minister’s engagement clearly shows Mr Agbodza directing the contractor to create access for the church, add an extra lane, repair the road leading to the church, urgently fix the drainage problem, and carry out an additional 600 metres of road work.

Mr. Danquah, therefore, demanded that the headline be corrected to properly reflect what the Minister actually said.

“This is not a matter of interpretation. The video provides the evidence,” he stated, warning that wrongly attributing comments to public officials risks creating a false impression of events.
