Former Dome Kwabenya Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has thrown her support behind her brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, as the Kantanka family moves to heal divisions and protect the legacy of their late father, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo.
In a statement issued on Thursday, October 8, Sarah Adwoa Safo said the family must put aside past disagreements and focus on preserving the values and vision left behind by their father.
She said she had deliberately chosen reconciliation and was committed to rebuilding unity within the family.
“I have chosen the path of reconciliation, founded upon love, mutual respect and the enduring undisputed bonds of family,” she said.
She further declared her support for Israel Kwadwo Safo, publicly recognising him as the Leader of the Kantanka Family and the Kristo Asfo Church in line with what she described as her father’s wishes.
“He has my full support, and I state unequivocally that I am prepared and willing to work together with him in the interest of the family and the Church, in furtherance of our father’s Vision and Legacy,” she said.
Sarah Adwoa Safo said the responsibility of preserving their father’s achievements rested collectively with his children and should not be viewed as the responsibility of one person.
“Our father’s legacy transcends any one individual. It is a collective inheritance and a profound responsibility entrusted to us, as his children, and it is a charge we must keep and hold on to, dearly,” she said.
She urged the family to move beyond their differences and safeguard the institutions and ideals Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo established during his lifetime.
She also appealed to members of the Kristo Asfo Church, the wider Kantanka family and others connected to their father’s work to recognise and respect the need for family unity.
“Let us embrace this new chapter with reconciliation, fraternity and a shared sense of purpose,” she said.
Sarah Adwoa Safo concluded by extending goodwill to Israel Kwadwo Safo and her other siblings as they embark on what she described as a renewed journey of peace and forgiveness.
“May this new chapter bring healing, unity and renewed strength as we come together to honour and advance the legacy of our beloved father,” she said.
