Adom TV, a sub-brand under Ghana’s leading media brand, The Multimedia Group was the most watched television station in Ghana in the first quarter of 2017.

The station beat off competition from notable TV stations such as UTV and TV3.

According to a Geopoll report titled ‘Ghana Q1 2017 Radio & TV Audience Ratings Report’, which collected data through GeoPoll’s Media Measurement Service and analysed the top TV stations in Ghana for Q1 of 2017, Adom TV beat UTV to claim the topmost position.

“There is stiff competition among UTV, Adom TV and TV3 during the peak hours. Adom TV emerges to get the highest ratings nationally between 7.30-8.30PM with its highest ratings being at 7.30-8PM with an average of 6.92,” the report said.

The report which also examined average share for Q1 2017 also said that ‘Adom TV captures the top spot with an average of 18.9% followed by UTV with a share of 17.2%, and TV3 in the third position with an average of 16.2%. Joy Prime gets the fourth share position with an average of 11.3%
