According to them, even though work is progressing steadily, their businesses are suffering, so the project needs to move much faster than it is now. They noted that the road is a major one that a lot of people depend on, so work should be done both day and night.
Speaking to Prince Owusu Asiedu on Adom Trotro, the traders said they were initially told the project would take three months. However, looking at the current pace of work, they believe it will take much longer than three months.
Because of this, they are also demanding an increase in the compensation given to them, explaining that the initial amount was too small to sustain them for long.
