Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa says funding remains secured for three priority development projects following a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, Cong Song.

The projects are the Damongo University of Science and Engineering, the Aflao Modern Market Complex and the refurbishment of the National Theatre.

In a post on X, Mr Ablakwa said he held a productive meeting with the Chinese Ambassador earlier in the day to review progress on the projects.

He said all feasibility reports for the three projects had been completed, paving the way for the next phase of implementation.

“It is great to confirm that funding remains secured and intact for these important projects,” he stated.

According to the minister, Ghana expects a team of technical experts from China to arrive in the country in the coming weeks to facilitate the commencement of work on the projects.

Mr Ablakwa said the government would continue to pursue what he described as impactful diplomacy with international partners to advance the country’s development agenda.

“We shall continue to pursue impactful diplomacy with our international partners from all continents as we face forward for development and transformation,” he added.

The three projects are expected to contribute to infrastructure development in education, commerce and the arts.
