Dennis Miracles Aboagye has been confirmed as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Director of Communications after running unopposed in the party’s national executive elections.
His confirmation was made at the NPP’s National Delegates Conference held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday, October 3, 2026. He succeeds Richard Ahiagbah in the role.
Mr Aboagye previously served as spokesperson for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia during the NPP’s 2024 presidential campaign, helping communicate the party’s message to the electorate.
He also held government positions under former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, including serving as a presidential staffer responsible for Local Government and Decentralisation and as Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation.
His confirmation comes as the NPP reorganises following its defeat in the 2024 general elections and prepares for the 2028 polls.
As Director of Communications, Mr Aboagye will play a central role in shaping the party’s public messaging and communicating its positions as the new leadership works to strengthen the party’s structures.
