Meet the three newly elected NPP Vice Chairpersons

Kojo Fosu Boadu, popularly known as Kojo Bamba, has been elected First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) following the party’s national executive elections in Kumasi.

Boadu polled 3,116 votes to secure the position, while Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, won the Second Vice Chairman slot with 3,061 votes.

Former NPP Director of Communications Nana Akomea was elected Third Vice Chairman after obtaining 2,981 votes.

The three are among the party’s newly elected national officers tasked with overseeing its affairs following the National Delegates Conference held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

They were subsequently sworn into office alongside other newly elected executives.

In the chairmanship contest, former General Secretary John Boadu emerged victorious with 2,888 votes, ahead of former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko, who polled 2,048 votes, and former National Chairman Paul Afoko, who secured 490 votes.

The elections form part of the NPP’s efforts to constitute its national leadership team as it prepares for the 2028 general election.
