National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has paid tribute to Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, describing education as one of the greatest gifts he received from the country’s founding leader.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) to mark Founder’s Day, Mr Asiedu Nketia said Nkrumah not only secured independence for Ghana but also inspired a vision of prosperity and invested in education.
“Nkrumah gave us all an independent nation and a vision of prosperity, but for me, he gave the gift of education ” he said.
Mr Asiedu Nketia said he would continue to use his education and professional work to preserve and advance Nkrumah’s legacy.
“For as long as I live, I will use my education and my work to keep that legacy alive ” he added.
