A fire has broken out at Teshie along the LEKMA Hospital Road, with a vulcaniser’s container among several structures used for commercial activities affected.
The incident occurred around Ebenezer Junction, where multiple containers had been converted into shops and other business spaces.
Three fire appliances from the Trade Fair, Kasapreko and National Headquarters Fire Stations were deployed to the scene to tackle the blaze.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) says the fire is currently under control, with firefighters carrying out salvaging operations to prevent reignition.
The cause of the fire and the extent of damage are yet to be established.
More details are expected as firefighters complete their operations at the scene.
