Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has called on roadside food vendors to pay greater attention to hygiene, suggesting that simple measures could help improve their sales.
In a post on X, the award-winning musician said vendors could make a significant difference to their businesses by adopting basic hygiene practices such as wearing gloves, nose masks and hair caps.
“Only if roadside food vendors knew how much of a difference it would make in their sales if they took hygiene a bit more seriously. Simple things like gloves, nose masks, hair caps, etc would go a long way and boost sales significantly” he said.
Sarkodie’s comments highlight the importance of maintaining good hygiene when preparing and serving food, particularly for vendors who operate along busy roads and public spaces.
