BOSTenergies has paid GH¢34.2 million in dividends to the Government of Ghana, marking the company’s first dividend payment since its establishment.
The payment follows a significant improvement in the company’s financial performance in the 2025 financial year.
The dividend represents five percent of BOSTenergies’ profit after tax for 2025, which increased by 72 percent from GH¢398.40 million in 2024 to GH¢683.96 million.
Revenue also surged by approximately 195 percent, rising from GH¢1.29 billion to GH¢3.81 billion over the same period.
Board Chairman of BOSTenergies, Prof Saint Kuttu, described the payment as a major milestone, saying it reflects the impact of disciplined management and stronger financial oversight.
He said the company had moved beyond maintaining its operations to expanding its business, improving profitability and generating direct value for its shareholder.
BOSTenergies is now positioning itself for an expansion and diversification drive in 2026, with plans to improve the utilisation of its infrastructure, grow its customer base, deepen regional trade and pursue commercially viable partnerships beyond its traditional petroleum storage and transportation activities.
Prof Kuttu said the company would also prioritise operational reliability, including stronger pipeline integrity, modernised depot operations and more efficient transportation, while ensuring that expansion decisions are backed by sound business cases and sustainable returns.
