Firefighters from the Diaso Fire Station have contained a domestic fire that broke out at Denkyira Nyinawusu in the Central Region, preventing the blaze from spreading to other parts of the house.
The incident occurred on Sunday, August 30, 2026, and involved a four-bedroom self-contained house.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the firefighting crew, led by STNO I Nkrumah, deployed tactical firefighting measures to contain the blaze and successfully salvaged one room.

The fire was fully extinguished at 9:22 p.m., after which the crew returned to the station at 10:38 p.m.
No casualties were recorded in the incident.

However, the fire damaged several household items, including a refrigerator, plastic chairs, a mattress, cooking utensils, and personal belongings.
The GNFS said the swift response by the firefighters helped prevent the fire from spreading further.
