Side chick beats wife to death during confrontation

A 26-year-old woman in Kitwe, Zambia, has died after she was allegedly assaulted during a confrontation with a woman accused of having an affair with her husband.

The deceased, identified as Vainess Kanyama, reportedly confronted Christin Ntundwe over the alleged relationship with her husband.

According to a report by Zambia Daily Mail, fight broke out, of which the side chick beat the wife to pulp near a market. She sustained injuries to her face and bled from her nose.

The victim was rushed to the hospital where it was confirmed she was brought in dead.

The matter was subsequently reported to the police.

Family of the deceased confirmed that she had been living with her husband in the same area before she decided to confront Ntundwe, who also resides in the area.

One of Kanyama’s daughters, who was reportedly with her during the confrontation, later rushed home to alert relatives after finding her mother unconscious.

A post-mortem examination subsequently established that Kanyama died from blood clots on both sides of the brain, according to the family.

Her relatives called for justice and urged the authorities to apprehend the suspect, who is reportedly on the run.

The deceased leaves behind three children, with her youngest reportedly aged five.

Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding her death are ongoing.
