The Manager of Catholic Schools in the Ahafo Region, Boakye Baafi Williams, has called on the Ghana Education Service (GES) to prioritise the sustainability of reforms introduced into Ghana’s education sector.
Speaking to Adom News at Acherensua during a forum on the Secondary Education Reforms Programme, Mr Williams said the success of education reforms should not depend solely on financial resources but also on the commitment of those responsible for implementing and benefiting from them.

He said teachers, students and education officials must take ownership of the reforms and ensure that gains made under various programmes are sustained over time.
According to him, frequent changes in educational policies without adequate attention to continuity could undermine the progress achieved and make it difficult for reforms to deliver their intended impact.
Meanwhile, the Headmaster of Boakye Tromo Senior High Technical School, Kwarteng Benjamin, has identified poor internet connectivity as a major challenge to the implementation of some education reforms, particularly those that require teachers and students to use computers and other digital tools.

He appealed to the government to urgently improve internet connectivity in schools to enable teachers and students to fully benefit from technology-driven initiatives in the education sector.
