New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has congratulated the party’s newly elected regional executives following the conclusion of regional elections across the country.
In a statement issued by the NPP Communications Directorate, Dr Bawumia described the peaceful conduct of the elections as a reaffirmation of the party’s commitment to internal democracy and respect for the will of its members.
He expressed confidence that the newly elected executives would provide the leadership needed to strengthen the party and position it for the 2028 presidential and parliamentary elections.
Dr Bawumia also commended all candidates who offered themselves for the various positions, regardless of the outcome.
He urged those who were unsuccessful to support the newly elected executives and contribute to efforts to build a stronger and more united party.
According to him, the conclusion of the regional contests should mark the beginning of a new phase of unity and renewed commitment towards the NPP’s preparations for the 2028 elections.
“The regional contest is over, the greater task is unity and renewed energy to secure victory in 2028 and it begins now,” the statement said.
