The mother of late Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo broke down in tears during her daughter’s funeral on Saturday, August 8, 2026, as family, friends and well-wishers gathered to bid the actress a final farewell.
The funeral was held at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra, where mourners gathered under red canopy tents to honour the actress.
Footage captured by Dadzie TV during the ceremony showed Beverly’s mother visibly overwhelmed with grief as she struggled to contain her emotions while moving through the crowd.
Her tears reflected the deep pain of losing a daughter and touched many of those who witnessed the emotional moment.
Beverly Afaglo died on May 24, 2026, at the International Maritime Hospital in Tema after battling cancer for two years. She was 42 and passed away just four days before her 43rd birthday.
The actress is survived by her husband, Eugene Baah, popularly known as Choirmaster of Praye, and their children.
Her death has left a deep void in Ghana’s entertainment industry, with colleagues, friends and fans continuing to remember her for her contributions to film and television.
