The political atmosphere in the Assin Central constituency is electric today as members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) head to the polls to elect a new team of constituency executives.
With the future of the party’s grassroots organization at stake, the electoral process is currently underway, drawing significant attention from party faithful and observers alike.
The election will determine the leadership tasked with steering the party’s affairs in the constituency heading into critical future cycles.

According to official figures released ahead of the exercise, a total of 831 delegates have been accredited to cast their ballots.
The electorate is comprised of: Polling Station Executives: 728; Electoral Area Coordinators: 75; Party Fathers, Patrons, and Old Executives: 28.
The race has attracted 30 aspirants vying for various executive positions. While the competition is fierce across most portfolios, one position has already been settled; Emmanuel Danso Akonkoh is set to serve as the new Organiser, having gone through the nomination process unopposed.
The battle for the remaining positions remains intense, with candidates looking to secure the mandate of the delegates in the following categories:
The chairmanship position has Attakora Amaniampong, Emmanuel Akuamoah Boateng, and Joseph Aninkorah Kutin as contestants.
1st Vice Chairman: Lucas Osei Asiedu, Kwakye-Appiah Odeneho, Andrews Kwaku Addo

2nd Vice Chairman: Francis Osei Mensah Buobu, Jude Entsie Aggrey, James Nana Offei, and Felix Kwaku Addo.
Secretary: Frederick Essuman, Ibrahim Inusah Mohammed, Francis Annin
Deputy Secretary: Simon Sobeng, Gabriel Asamoah, Eric Mensah
Treasurer: Jonah Berko, Cosmos Kojo Danso
Women’s Organizer: Lydia Agyapong, Mercy Kawia Weywona, Gloria Tei
