The Administrator of the Ghana Sports Fund, Dr. David Kofi Mawuvi Wuaku, says the Black Stars are carrying the hopes and aspirations of millions of Ghanaians as they continue their quest for success on the international stage.
He said every appearance by the national team represents more than just a football match, describing the Black Stars as ambassadors of the country’s resilience, determination, and sporting excellence.
Dr. Wuaku noted that for many young people across Ghana, the national team remains a source of inspiration and a reminder that dedication, discipline, and hard work can create opportunities to excel at the highest level.
He therefore called on Ghanaians to stand firmly behind the team by offering encouragement, positivity, and prayers throughout the competition.
According to him, the players and technical team have worked tirelessly to earn the opportunity to represent the nation and deserve the full backing of the Ghanaian public.
The Ghana Sports Fund Administrator expressed confidence in the Black Stars’ ability to rise to the challenge and compete strongly against their opponents.
He also urged Ghanaians not to focus solely on individual results but to appreciate the commitment and sacrifices being made by the players in pursuit of national glory.
Dr. Wuaku appealed to faith-based organisations, traditional leaders, and the general public to remember the team in their prayers and ask for protection, strength, wisdom, and success as they navigate the demands of the competition.
He said the dream of every Ghanaian football fan is to see the Black Stars progress through the tournament and ultimately bring home a trophy that will unite the nation in celebration.
As anticipation continues to build around Ghana’s campaign, Dr. Wuaku believes the country has every reason to remain hopeful and support the team throughout its journey.
He reiterated that the Black Stars carry not only the flag of Ghana but also the hopes of millions who believe in their ability to make the nation proud.
