The Assemblymember for Kito Electoral Area in Salaga, Thomas Gyando, has also raised concern over comments allegedly made by a nurse shortly before a newborn baby went missing at the Salaga Municipal Hospital.

Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, he said the mother was initially informed that the baby was in stable condition after delivery.

“The nurses told the mother the baby is really beautiful and one of them jokingly asked that the mother should give the baby to her,” he recounted.

However, he said the situation took a troubling turn when the family later requested to see the baby but were denied access.

Mr Gyando explained that the father was repeatedly sent on errands, and each time he returned, he was prevented from seeing the child.

“Later, they came to tell him that the baby was nowhere to be found,” he said, adding that police have since been involved in the case.

He noted that investigations are ongoing, but the family remains without answers.

“We are looking for our child, not just any child,” he stressed. “If they bring a baby, we will insist on full medical tests to confirm it is indeed ours.”

The disappearance of a newborn baby at the Salaga Municipal Hospital has triggered widespread concern and calls for answers, as investigations continue into how the child went missing shortly after delivery.

According to the family, they were initially informed that both mother and baby were in stable condition after delivery. However, suspicion arose when they were repeatedly denied access to see the newborn despite several attempts.

The family says efforts to locate the child have so far been unsuccessful, and they are calling for a thorough investigation to uncover the truth and ensure accountability.
