The Paramount Chief of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area in the Eastern Region, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin, has called on traditional rulers across the country to lead with humility, respect and gratitude, stressing that they should never look down on the families and subjects who entrusted them with leadership.

According to the Okyenhene, chiefs must cherish, honour and serve their people diligently, noting that their authority, influence and status are derived from the very communities they govern.

The remarks were made during a customary ceremony at Akyem Kyebi, where the newly enstooled Chief of Akyem Osenase, Berima Obeng Boakye Akese Ababio, swore the Oath of Allegiance to the Okyenhene to affirm his legitimacy as chief.

Addressing the gathering, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin emphasised the responsibilities that come with traditional leadership, urging chiefs to serve their people with diligence and dedication. He reminded traditional rulers that their positions are a trust bestowed upon them by their communities and should be exercised with humility and a deep sense of responsibility.

Meanwhile, Berima Obeng Boakye Akese Ababio called for unity among residents of Osenase and encouraged the youth to take an active role in the development of the community by contributing meaningfully to its growth and progress.
