Residents of Suhum in the Eastern Region have been thrown into shock and mourning following the death of a 31-year-old man, Addo Naphtali, in a tragic motorcycle accident at Ali in the Suhum Municipality.
The fatal incident reportedly occurred while Naphtali had joined friends and mourners en route to the cemetery for the burial of a colleague at Gojiase.
Witnesses said Naphtali was performing daring motorcycle stunts, popularly known as “Adaga,” along the Suhum–Ali road as part of activities to honour the deceased when the accident occurred.

However, the stunt reportedly went wrong, causing him to lose control of the motorcycle before crashing.
The impact of the crash was said to have been severe, leading to his instant death.
His body has since been deposited at the Suhum Government Hospital morgue pending further procedures.
The sudden death of the young man has thrown the community into grief, with family members, friends and residents struggling to come to terms with the tragedy.
Among those deeply affected by the loss is the Suhum Sanaahemaa, Nana Hemaa Amaasi, who reportedly broke down in tears upon hearing of the death of the young man she regarded as a son.
Police are expected to continue investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
