A commercial fire outbreak has damaged parts of a recording studio located within the Coral Paints Headquarters at Adabraka in Accra.
The incident occurred on Saturday, May 16, 2026, when fire swept through the second floor of the building, affecting the recording studio and damaging studio equipment as well as wooden interior decorations.
Preliminary findings suggest the fire may have been caused by an electrical fault.

The fire reportedly broke out in the afternoon, prompting an emergency response after a distress call was placed through the Fire Master Control at about 12:38 p.m.
Firefighters from the Industrial Area Fire Station arrived at the scene within minutes and immediately began efforts to prevent the blaze from spreading to other sections of the commercial facility.
The fire was eventually brought under control at about 1:46 p.m. and fully extinguished shortly afterwards.

Although portions of the studio were destroyed, no injuries or fatalities were recorded.
The swift intervention by firefighters helped contain the blaze and prevented further damage to adjoining offices and sections of the building.
The incident has once again raised concerns about electrical safety in commercial facilities, especially in buildings housing electronic and studio equipment.
