The Member of Parliament for Pru East Constituency (Yeji), Emmanuel Kweku Boam, has marked this year’s Mothers’ Day celebration with mothers and newborn babies at the Yeji Mathias Hospital in Yeji, in the Bono East Region.

The gesture formed part of activities aimed at appreciating mothers for their sacrifices and commitment towards nurturing children and building strong families in society.

During the visit, the MP presented assorted items, including baby products, toiletries, and other essential supplies, to mothers who had recently delivered at the hospital.

He also interacted with health workers and congratulated the women on the successful delivery of their babies.

Speaking in an interview with Adom News, the MP commended mothers for their invaluable role in national development, describing motherhood as a noble responsibility that deserves recognition and support.

The MP further assured residents of his continued commitment to improving healthcare delivery in the constituency, particularly maternal and child health services.

Some of the mothers expressed gratitude for the kind gesture, saying the visit and donations had brought them joy and encouragement on the special occasion.

For his part, Dr Narh Evans, the Medical Director at the facility, also applauded the initiative and called for more support for healthcare institutions to help improve quality healthcare delivery for mothers and children in the area.
