The Headmaster of Obenimase M/A Junior High School in the Asante Akyem Central Municipality has called on government and key education stakeholders to urgently address the school’s growing infrastructural challenges.

Speaking to Adom News during the graduation ceremony for Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates of Obenimase JHS 3, Headmaster Hackman Berchie Nyarko said the lack of basic facilities is negatively affecting effective teaching and learning in the school.

He explained that the school is currently struggling with inadequate infrastructure, including the absence of a proper classroom block, an ICT laboratory, furniture, and other essential learning facilities.

According to him, these challenges continue to undermine academic work and make it difficult to create a conducive environment for students and teachers.

Mr. Nyarko expressed hope that stakeholders within the community and government would respond positively to improve conditions at the school and make it more attractive to prospective students.

Meanwhile, the Kontihene of Obenimase, Nana Fosu Gyabour II, also speaking to Adom News, emphasised the need for collective commitment from all stakeholders to support the development of the school and ensure meaningful transformation.
