She noted that government is prioritising investments in infrastructure, access roads, and cultural enterprises to position Effutu as a growing tourism destination capable of attracting visitors, creating jobs, and stimulating local economic activity.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang also highlighted ongoing interventions aimed at expanding economic opportunities, including the proposed Women’s Development Bank, which she said will improve access to finance for market women, fish processors, and small-scale entrepreneurs.
She added that the 24-hour economy policy is being developed, with plans underway for the rollout of 24-hour markets nationwide to boost productivity and employment.
On youth development, she referenced the Adwumawura initiative, designed to support young people in turning their ideas into sustainable businesses.
The Vice President further reaffirmed government’s commitment to key infrastructure projects, including the Kasoa–Winneba road, describing it as vital to regional development and economic growth.
Commending the people of Effutu, she praised their unity and peaceful coexistence, saying these remain essential foundations for sustainable progress.
