Annoh-Dompreh elected Chairman of PAP Committee on Health, Social Work and Labour

Minority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has been elected Chairman of the Committee on Health, Social Work and Labour at the Pan-African Parliament under the Western Caucus.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, May 2, he described the appointment as an honour, saying it reflects the trust and confidence placed in him by colleagues across West Africa.

He acknowledged support from representatives of several countries, including Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Sierra Leone, Liberia, The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Cape Verde, and Togo.

Mr Annoh-Dompreh pledged to work with fellow parliamentarians to advance policies aimed at strengthening healthcare systems, improving labour rights, and enhancing social protection across the continent.

He said the committee’s work will focus on initiatives that promote the welfare and development of African citizens through stronger regional cooperation.

The MP noted that his election is not only a personal milestone but also a proud moment for Ghana and his constituents in Nsawam-Adoagyiri.

He expressed gratitude for the support he has received and reaffirmed his commitment to contributing to Africa’s development and integration through his new role at the Pan-African Parliament.
