Ghanaian music star Black Sherif has sparked conversation after sharing his unfiltered thoughts on love languages.
This was during an appearance on Joy FM’s Personality Profile.
Known for his introspective approach to music and life, the artist questioned the relevance of the widely accepted relationship framework, suggesting it may be a modern construct rather than a natural emotional system.
“My love language? . I feel that thing is a propaganda.”
He opens with skepticism, describing the concept as something he doesn’t fully accept as real or organic.
“Since when they start to ask this question?” he asked.
He questioned the sudden popularity of the topic in relationship discussions.
“I like swagger, so maybe I like gifts.”
He further gave a light-hearted response, linking personal style and preference to material expression like gifts.
“They say it is five. Acts of service. Physical touch. Words of affirmation,” he mentioned.
He acknowledged the popular categories but speaks about them in a detached, questioning tone.
“You know, I literally made a whole career out of words.”
He reflects on his music career, noting how “words of affirmation” connects to his work, but not necessarily his personal emotional structure.
“But like I said, I think that is a propaganda.”
He reaffirms his stance, suggesting the idea may be more of a social trend than a universal truth.
