The spokesperson for the National Chief Imam, Armiyawo Shaibu, has called for peace and unity, condemning violence and xenophobic attacks across the world.

Speaking on Prime Morning, he expressed concern over ongoing conflicts in different parts of the world, including Europe and recent developments in South Africa.

According to him, any form of war or conflict that leads to the destruction of life is deeply troubling, regardless of where it occurs.

“It doesn’t matter whether it is happening in Europe, Africa or Asia, we are all equal,” he said.

Sheikh Armiyawo Shaibu emphasised that humanity shares a common bond that transcends race, nationality and geography.

He described xenophobic attacks as wrong, stressing that no individual should be targeted because of their nationality, whether Ghanaian, Nigerian, or from any other country.
