Ghanaian Afrobeats and Highlife artist RCee has revealed that his journey into music was unexpected and largely influenced by peer pressure.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, he explained that his childhood passion was sports, particularly football, and he initially aspired to build a career in the game.
According to him, he was actively involved in football during his early years and never envisioned himself becoming a musician, even though he had the ability to sing while in high school.
RCee noted that his interest in music began when he observed his peers rapping and became confident that he could do better.
He added that his friends eventually encouraged and pushed him onto the stage to perform, an experience that marked a turning point in his life.
He said the positive response from the audience made him realize his potential in music, which ultimately set him on a new career path in the entertainment industry.
