The Central Regional Police Command has arrested a 40-year-old man, Samuel Bills Acquah, following the circulation of a viral video showing him allegedly assaulting a 30-year-old woman in Cape Coast.
According to police reports, the incident occurred at Bakano on March 27, 2026, at around 9:30 p.m.
The suspect is reported to have attacked the woman, with whom he shares a child.
Authorities acted swiftly after receiving the report, proceeding to the scene and taking the suspect into custody.
The victim has received medical attention and is reported to be recovering. Samuel Bills Acquah remains in police custody assisting with ongoing investigations.
The suspect is expected to be arraigned before court on March 30, 2026, to face prosecution.
