Legendary dance scholar Terry Bright Ofosu has opened up about his challenging experiences while in the United Kingdom, revealing how personal circumstances kept him out of the public eye.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz with Kwame Dadzie, Ofosu explained that he had been issued a notice to leave the country, which made it difficult for him to dance or appear publicly.

“I was more like a pseudo in UK in their records; I had been given a notice to leave, so I didn’t want to be out there dancing and being seen,” he recalled.

He also shared that during this period, he was juggling personal responsibilities, including a marriage-related issue, while managing work and church commitments.

At the time, he worked as a cleaning supervisor alongside his duties at his local church.

Ofosu’s experiences abroad influenced his decision to return to Ghana in 2000, bringing video equipment to pursue his passion for filmmaking.

He began producing films and music videos, combining his dance expertise with visual storytelling, and laid the foundation for his contributions to Ghana’s creative industry.
