More than 50 students from the Krachi East Municipality in the Oti region have been hospitalised following an accident on their return from an inter-circuit sports tournament at Adokwanta.
The students were travelling back when their vehicle was involved in a crash between Tokuroano and Dormabin on Friday.
Reports indicate they were being transported in a cargo truck with registration number VR 342-15 when it collided head-on with a private car, GT 1109-18.
The private car was subsequently struck from behind by a Municipal Assembly Nissan pick-up, PV 380-18, that was transporting chairs for a commissioning event at Asukawkaw.
However, information gathered by Adom News suggests the students were taken to health centres at Dormabin and Tokuroano, while others were referred to the Worawora Government Hospital for further medical attention.
