The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has denied reports claiming that businessman Nana Yaw Duodu, widely known as Dr. Sledge of Godridge Ghana Limited, has been cleared of corruption by a court.

In a statement dated Wednesday, February 25, 2026, the anti-graft agency described the reports as misleading and clarified that its investigation into transactions linked to the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) between 2020 and 2024 remains ongoing.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the OSP has not filed any criminal charges in court against Dr. Sledge, and no court has pronounced on his guilt or innocence,” the statement said.

The OSP stressed that no determination has been made regarding the businessman’s culpability, as the probe reportedly centres on transactions valued at about $94 million.

The clarification comes in response to reports about a High Court ruling concerning Dr. Sledge’s assets. According to the OSP, it froze a number of vehicles valued at GH¢18 million in 2025 as part of its investigations. However, in January 2025, the High Court declined to confirm the freezing order.

The Special Prosecutor’s office disclosed that it has since initiated legal action to challenge that decision and has taken steps to re-freeze the assets. It further stated that the properties “remain frozen and are under the authority, protection, and preservation of the OSP in the public interest.”

Beyond the contested assets, the OSP indicated that asset-tracing efforts are ongoing to identify and secure any additional properties suspected to be linked to the case.

Reaffirming its commitment, the Office assured the public that the investigation would be pursued to its logical conclusion.

“Upon the conclusion of the investigation, any person against whom sufficient evidence is established will be arraigned before a court of competent jurisdiction,” the statement added.
