The Pre-Tertiary Teachers Association of Ghana (PRETAG), formerly known as the Coalition of Concerned Teachers Ghana, was honoured for its unwavering support of the Ghana Teacher Prize at the Ministry of Education and National Teaching Council’s annual sponsors’ appreciation breakfast in Accra.

General Secretary of PRETAG, Herbert Ako Forson, along with association member Vida Sapabil, the National Gender Coordinator, received the prestigious award on behalf of the association.

The recognition was presented by Kwame Alorvi, Board Chair of the National Teaching Council, with support from Dr. Christian Addai-Poku, NTC Registrar.

The award celebrates PRETAG’s continued dedication to the Ghana Teacher Prize, which recognises the exceptional contributions of teachers across the country. For years, PRETAG has played a vital role in supporting the initiative, ensuring that educators receive the recognition they deserve for their hard work and commitment to shaping the future of Ghana’s youth.

The event also highlighted the importance of partnerships between the Ministry of Education, the National Teaching Council, and associations like PRETAG in fostering excellence in teaching. Through such collaboration, the Ghana Teacher Prize will continue to inspire teachers and advance education in Ghana.
