The Ghana Police Service has arrested a man captured in a viral video discharging a high-calibre firearm during the AfroFuture Festival at the El-Wak Stadium in Accra on December 28, 2025.
In a statement, the police said the suspect, identified as Abubakari Sadick, popularly known as “Cyborg,” was picked up on December 29 at Adenta.
According to the police, his actions contravene provisions of the Firearms Act, 1962 (Act 118), as well as the Public Order Act, 1994 (Act 491).
A firearm believed to have been used in the incident—a Derya MK-12 with registration number 22-GHA-1162—has been retrieved and secured as evidence to aid ongoing investigations.

Sadick is currently in police custody and assisting investigators. He is expected to be arraigned before court to face the appropriate charges.
In a caution to the public, the Police Service stressed that possession of a licensed firearm does not permit indiscriminate use.
The Service warned that anyone found discharging a weapon unlawfully risks losing their licence and being prosecuted, as authorities move to enforce public safety laws strictly.
