The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has fined Hearts of Oak GHS10,000 after finding the club guilty of misconduct following their Ghana Premier League encounter with rivals Asante Kotoko.

The sanction stems from the Super Clash played in November at the Accra Sports Stadium, where Hearts of Oak suffered a 1-0 defeat.

In the aftermath of the match, supporters of the Phobians were accused of inappropriate conduct, including throwing objects onto the pitch.

Following weeks of investigations, the Disciplinary Committee upheld the charges and imposed the fine, accompanied by a stern warning. Hearts of Oak have been given 14 days to settle the amount.

In a statement issued on Monday, December 15, the GFA confirmed the decision, noting that the club was punished for the actions of its supporters after the final whistle.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak midfielder Mohammed Hussein has been handed a three-match suspension for misconduct in the same fixture.

The Disciplinary Committee found the player guilty of unsporting behaviour directed at match officials during the encounter.
