The nationwide recruitment exercise for the Police, Prisons, Fire, and Ghana Immigration Services is set to begin on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Interior Minister Muntaka Mubarak announced the launch during a press conference on Friday, November 14.
“The application process will begin on Monday, November 17. It will be published in the national dailies, on the Ministry and its agencies’ websites, and on social media platforms,” he said.
This year, the exercise will introduce a fully digital, paperless process aimed at modernising operations across the Ministry of Interior.
“The Ministry is committed to moving all our operations from paper to paperless. For the first time, applicants can start and complete the process entirely from their mobile phones, right from the comfort of their homes,” he noted.
Applicants will be able to purchase vouchers and complete applications via a USSD short code. Details of the code and web address will be published on Sunday ahead of the Monday launch.
“The USSD dial code will be published on Sunday to prevent a rush. The details of the web address and the USSD short code will appear in the Sunday publication,” the Minister explained.
Muntaka, who also serves as the Asawase MP, described the new platform as a centralised e‑recruitment portal designed to harmonise and standardise recruitment procedures across all security agencies.
“This robust, centralised portal ensures the recruitment process is uniform across all agencies under the Ministry. It allows applicants to monitor every stage—from initial submission to admission into training schools. You will be informed through your phone about screenings, medicals, and progression to subsequent stages,” he said.
Alternative channels will also be available for voucher acquisition, including Ghana Commercial Bank and Ghana Post branches nationwide.
“Applicants can purchase vouchers at any Ghana Commercial Bank branch or Ghana Post office across the country,” he added.
The Minister encouraged applicants in areas with good network connectivity to use the digital route for a seamless experience.
“If you are in an area with good network coverage and have a mobile money account—or access to one—you can complete the process entirely on your phone without leaving your home,” he said.
Muntaka assured that the portal is robust and capable of handling large volumes of applications efficiently. He also confirmed that additional safety measures will be in place to prevent incidents like the El‑Wak stampede.
