Police in Begoro have launched a search for a well-known guest house operator popularly called “James Bond,” who is suspected of killing his girlfriend at the BJ Tech Guest House in Ehiamankyene in the Fanteakwa South District.
The woman, known in the community as Koryo, was a food vendor at the Ehiamankyene market and a familiar figure to many residents.
Reports indicate that she had a child with the suspect, although the two were not married. Her family was said to have disapproved of the relationship and kept it quiet.
The incident is believed to have occurred on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, after she visited the suspect at his guest house and failed to return home.
When her family became concerned, her younger brother went to look for her and found her body lying in a pool of blood. He immediately informed their parents.
Police officers from the Begoro station arrived at the scene on Thursday evening, November 13, 2025, and removed the body. It has since been deposited at the Begoro Government Hospital for further examination.
The news angered the youth in the community, prompting some to burn the suspect’s Apsonic GY9 motorbike and threaten to set the guest house ablaze.
Deputy NADMO Director for Fanteakwa South, John Kwame Narh, confirming the incident, stated that the suspect has fled.
