Power outage hits Sogakope after damage to GRIDCo transmission line

The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has announced that a damaged transmission line has caused a power outage in Sogakope and nearby communities.

According to a statement issued by GRIDCo’s Corporate Communications on Sunday, October 26, 2025, the incident occurred at around 4:01 p.m., disrupting electricity supply to the area.

GRIDCo said its line maintenance team has been deployed to repair the damage and restore power as soon as possible.

The company also apologized to affected residents for the inconvenience caused.
