Fire engulfs portion of 7-bedroom apartment at Nsukwao

A fire outbreak on October 8, 2025, destroyed one room of a seven-bedroom apartment at Nsukwao, near the Safe Gold Hotel in Koforidua.

The Koforidua Municipal Fire Station received a distress call at 10:19 a.m. and promptly dispatched a team of eight firefighters to the scene.

The crew managed to contain the blaze, preventing it from spreading to other parts of the building.

Although the fire caused partial structural damage and destroyed personal belongings in the affected room, no injuries were reported.

Firefighters successfully extinguished the flames at 10:40 a.m.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has launched investigations to determine the cause of the fire.
