The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will today, October 10, 2025, conduct a balloting exercise for its upcoming January 31, 2026, presidential primary.
The event will take place at the NPP headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra.
In an earlier letter signed by William Yamoah, Secretary of the Presidential Elections Committee, the NPP extended an invitation to all qualified presidential aspirants to participate in the exercise, which will determine their positions on the ballot paper.
The letter also congratulated the aspirants on successfully completing the vetting process and urged them to confirm receipt of the invitation.
Five aspirants, including Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Ken Ohene Agyapong, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, are expected to participate in the exercise.
The upcoming balloting marks another key step in the NPP’s preparations toward selecting its flagbearer for the 2026 general elections.
