Firefighters from the Buduburam Fire Station averted what could have been a major disaster after swiftly responding to a vehicle fire along the Accra–Cape Coast Highway in the early hours of Monday, October 6, 2025.

The incident occurred at Breku and involved a TATA bus with registration number GM 2889-14, which had reportedly been parked by the roadside for almost two weeks.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the bus was already engulfed in flames when the team arrived at the scene.
