Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford has outlined his ambitions for the club in the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The Kpando-based side has enjoyed an impressive start to the campaign, going unbeaten in their opening four matches and topping the league table with 10 points.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, Hayford reflected on the team’s progress since his arrival.
“When I took over the club, the club was battling with relegation, but we managed to escape relegation, and last season we managed to finish in the top four, which is good for a team like Heart of Lions.
The veteran coach added that the team’s focus this term is on maintaining consistency throughout the campaign.
“This season, what we want to achieve this season is to finish in a safe position in the first round and further finish in a safe place at the end of the season,” he added.
Heart of Lions will look to extend their unbeaten run when they host fellow unbeaten side Hearts of Oak in their Matchday 5 fixture at the Kpando Sports Stadium on Sunday.
