Ghana has been thrown into a state of shock and mourning following the news of helicopter crash at Adansi Akrofuom that claimed the lives of eight distinguished personalities.
The victims included Defence Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Minister for Environment, Technology and Innovation, who doubles as Tamale Central MP.

The rest are Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, Dr. Samuel Sarpong, Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Aboagye, former parliamentary candidate, and three soldiers: Squadron Leader Peter Anala, Flying Officer Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo.

The high-ranking officials were aboard an Air Force Z-9 helicopter en route to Obuasi for a national assignment when the aircraft lost contact with radar.
