Asunafo North MCE calls for patriotism to drive National development

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Asunafo North in the Ahafo Region, Joseph Akparibo, has called on Ghanaians to embrace patriotism as a vital tool for national development.

Speaking to Adom News during the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving held in Goaso, in collaboration with the Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council, Mr. Akparibo expressed concern over the declining patriotic spirit among citizens, which he believes is hindering the country’s progress.

“Our country struggles with development not because of a lack of plans, but because many of us do not put Ghana first,” he said.

“Regardless of political affiliations, we must all rally behind the government to build the nation together.”

Queen Mother Raises Concern Over Youth Indiscipline

Also speaking at the event, the Queen Mother of Goaso, Nana Afia Serwaa, urged parents to instill proper values in their children.

She warned that the rising indiscipline among the youth poses a serious threat to Ghana’s future and called for urgent attention.

“The growing trend of disrespect and lack of discipline among young people must be addressed immediately,” she said.

Nana Afia Serwaa further called on traditional leaders, educators, and policymakers to work together to uphold discipline and moral standards for the benefit of future generations.
