A shooting incident during a naming ceremony at Gbawe Barley in the Greater Accra Region has left one man dead and a woman injured.
According to eyewitnesses, the joyful event turned tragic when a disagreement escalated into gunfire.
An opinion leader, Nii Oshipi, told Adom News that the yet-to-be-identified assailant shot the male victim in the head, killing him instantly, while the woman was shot in the stomach.
The injured woman has been transferred to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for advanced medical care.
The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and the suspect is currently on the run.
Meanwhile, the Assembly Member for the Gbawe East Electoral Area, Benjamin Lartey, has assured the public of full collaboration with the police to apprehend the perpetrator.
